Unfortunately at this time most of us probably have much more to think and worry about than mug sublimation.
At present anything other than essentials are just not that important, and understandably so, which means that those of you just starting out or who have recently got involved in sublimating and selling mugs are possibly regretting that decision.
A large majority of people are off work and basically confined to home and the ones that are still working have much more to be concerned about than buying printed mugs.
So is it worth carrying on?
Well yes, of course, there is no denying that the retail industry be it off or online is at a really low point at this moment, and it is going to take a long while to climb back up but that does not mean that mug sublimation is a lost cause.
While sales have certainly dropped they have not disappeared altogether, most of us are now being extra careful with our finances but we still have events to celebrate, birthdays, anniversaries etc and the fact that we cannot go out to the shops as we would normally do means that there is a good chance of online sales picking up.
We have to persevere and carry on as best as possible so don’t be discouraged.
Using The situation To Your Advantage
Here in the UK, we are officially in lockdown which basically means, as most of you probably know, our freedom of movement is severely limited, but that need not be seen as a hindrance to your sublimation mugs business.
In fact, you can use this unfortunate situation to your advantage by spending your time learning more about sublimation whether it is on mugs, t-shirts or the numerous other items that it can be applied to.
If you only purchase templates for printing you can take this time to start designing your own.
Do you only sublimate mugs? then now is the perfect opportunity to start learning how to sublimate t-shirts.
What about branching out into other areas of sublimation printing, things such as coasters, mouse mats and phone cases readily spring to mind.
Have you considered printing on tiles? did you even know you could sublimate tiles, well you certainly can.
So as you can see there are a lot of things that you can be spending your time on so that when we get back to normal (hopefully not too far away) you will be able to offer so much more.
